Prompt
Showcase one of your favorite hobbies or passions through a web app. Whether it’s grinding LeetCode, cooking (in the kitchen), or creating 🔥 Spotify playlists, let your creativity run free and create a project that brings your passions to life!
Requirements
- Frontend web app.
- Please feel free to use whatever frameworks/technologies you are most comfortable with to create the web app. This assessment looks to test your technical prowess and creativity more than working with a specific tech stack.
- Want to include an additional backend? Embed drawings or a game? The floor is your’s.
- A concrete idea.
- Narrow down what hobby or passion you want to showcase, and make it the star of the project. If the project is more technical like an algorithm visualizer, emphasize the technical implementation and functionality—don’t stress about visuals. In the case your idea is more visual, like a recipe book, focus on an amazing UI that clearly articulates every component on the page.
- A functional project.
- Emphasis on functional, it’s totally fine if everything isn’t perfect. Prioritize the essential components and branch from there!
Judging Criteria
- A functional and coherent project that exemplifies the chosen hobby/passion.
- A reproducible project that can be cloned locally on the judges’ device. (Project does NOT need to be deployed)
- A transparent repository that shows gradual progress. Organized commits are encouraged - just don’t submit a repository with a single commit.
- Don’t feel discouraged if you have never used any sort of version control or if you are unfamiliar with
git
; simply notate this in your submission, include a zip
of your project, and provide a detailed record of your development process.
- Well written, organized, and not overly AI-y code. Comments are not required, though each and every component of your code base should be readable and self-documenting. AI is encouraged as a tool and not a crutch.
Submission Guidelines

-
